Adventure into the beautiful driftless bluffs of Aefintyr campground for a backpacking like experience (1460ft hike, 230ft elev gain). Hike-in campsite nestled along the edge of the bluff offering a north facing 180-degree valley view. Fire pit and seating area with table and chairs. Firewood included. This site is great for people who like to get some exercise and want to immerse themselves in a woodland setting.

IMPORTANT - The hike to the campsite is uphill along the bluff and requires some physical effort. We recommend packing light and using backpacks to transport your personal items. Carts and other wheeled items usually do not work with the gravel and rocks on the path. Please consider your health, physical abilities and your willingness to pack light when you decide to book! Your host is happy to answer any questions and help with planning your trip.

Within 2 miles of Whitewater State Park, the Elba Fire Tower, Whitewater State Wildlife Management Area (hunting, trout fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing) and the Whitewater River State Water Trail (canoe/kayak/tube). There is a gas station (bait and fishing supplies, convenience store items), 2 bars and a restaurant within a mile in the town of Elba. The Whitewater Wines Winery is 5.6 miles up the road.
