PAINT AND HIKE RETREAT featuring artist Tammy Nara!
Friday September 22nd to Sunday September 24th, 2023
Join us for an outdoor weekend retreat featuring guided art hikes at Whitewater and Carley State Parks, drawing and painting lessons led by artist Tammy Nara (Paint and Hike), fabulous rustic glamping accommodations, and time with other nature art enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. Art supplies included. Participants to provide their own transportation to the parks and pass to the state parks. Snacks and water will be available throughout the weekend.
About Tammy and Paint and Hike
Tammy Nara is a hiking artist and art teacher based in Shoreview, Minnesota. She enjoys using pen, watercolor, and acrylic to create responses to the natural world. “Experiencing and protecting the natural world is important. Creating art and connecting with other humans also enriches our lives in important ways. Let’s make time for what is important.”
She started the website paintandhike.com in 2018.
Her education includes a master’s degree in art education from the University of Minnesota. Her art can be seen at Studio 321 in the Northrup King Building in Minneapolis. You may have also seen her art at the Owatonna Hospital, the Red Wing Center for the Arts, Studio 176 in Park Rapids, on the cover of the book, Now We Will Speak in Flowers by Micki Blenkush, or at Centennial United Methodist Church in Roseville.

There are 3 retreat package options. Admission only, private campsite (bring your own gear) and glamping site. All campers are provided with firewood and access to the bathhouse and hot showers. Up to 4 participants may stay at each site. If multiple participants will be staying at one site, each participant will need to purchase admission to the event and only one person will need to purchase a package including the camping choice. Payment is due 9/9/2023.

Once registered you will receive a confirmation email from Google Forms. Additional details and any further updates will come from Chelsi at aefintyroutdoors@gmail.com. A waiver and rental agreement (if applicable) will need to be signed prior to the event start. By purchasing admission to the event and/or booking a campsite you agree to the rules and policies of Aefintyr and the terms of the rental agreement.
